Lucifer was once an angel
(precisely the anointed cherub that covers, Ezek. 28:14) described verily as
the son of the morning. He has become a profane thing because he fell in love
with his glory and beauty and wisdom; he eminently became proud and
self-centered. His prideful rebellion was demonstrated by five (5) “I will”
statements against God. The five statements that Lucifer made as recorded in
Isaiah 14:13-14 are;
1. I will
ascend into heaven
2. I will
exalt my throne above the stars of God
3. I will also
sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest side of the north
4. I will
ascend above the heights of the clouds
5. I will be
like the Most High
These words of Lucifer were from
the abundance of his heart (or were the exact intentions of his heart). Many
people including believers are self-centered and full of pride; thinking about
themselves only. All they care for is things directly related to them. This
attitude must be done away with. The Bible says “Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they
join forces, none will go unpunished.” (Prov. 16:5) Lucifer became an
abomination and was thus cast as a profane thing from the presence of God. Proud
people who are into the “I” or “I will” lifestyle will be treated no lesser
than Lucifer. The fact of this matter is that God resists the proud and the
self-centered. For this reason God
made five strong utterances against this prideful entity, as recorded in Isaiah
14:15-20 that Lucifer will be;
- Thrown into hell (or Sheol, which is the remote slopes of the Pit)
- Gazed upon (in other words to make him a public spectacle)
- Talked about (mocked and scorned)
- Cast out of the grave like carcass (or abominable thing)
- Alone
These are the five (5) words of
Jehovah God uttered against reprobate Lucifer. These imperatively do not only
apply to Lucifer but to everyone who behaves like he did. The most dangerous
thing to happen is when God speak, for His words always prevail over every
thought, word or imagination. It is properly safe to obediently subject to God
than to be filled with pride.

it is a better thing to walk in obedience to our most high God than to live in a world of pride.
