In the 1900’s the
British queen Victoria resided in Ghana. She
conducted the slave trade and ruled in the name of the United Kingdom. One day
she ordered the capture of King Prempeh who was the last of the Ashanti Kings
and this stirred up Queen mother Yaa Asantewaa to mobilize her people to go and fight the
British soldiers. Yaa Asantewaa and her people knew that the soldiers had guns
and explosives but in the face of all that THEY STOOD FIRM AND FOUGHT because
they knew that they were entitled to their freedom.

WHEN THE ENEMY COMES LIKE A FLOOD
Recent
rains brought unexpected floods in Accra. People’s houses where filled to the
brim and vehicles were submerged as though the latest submarines in the
Atlantic oceans. When the floods begin, nothing can be done in the process than
to wait for all harm to be caused. Floods are unexpected before arrival and
unavoidable in the process. This is the same strategy of the enemy against
children of God; to come like a flood – unexpected and unavoidable.

GOING THROUGH TRIALS?
Trials, the
most dreaded word in the Christian walk. Yet it so important that I haven't
come across words to emphasize its necessity.
The Bible
says that the testing of our faith produces patience. Thus we are tried so that
we can become patient children of God.
So I ask,
why patience? The same Bible states clearly that when patience completes its
work we’ll become both Perfect and Complete.
