20 DR. T. L. OSBORN QUOTATIONS FOR YOUR EDIFICATION

Dr. Osborn, a man of power, zeal and the gospel has taken Christ to many places. Like the Apostles he sold himself for the sake of Christ, that the unreached will be reached. Here are twenty of Dr. Osborn’s immortal words that this generation of believers should know.

  1. There are wild mountains scarred by deep ravines and gulches. There are rampaging rivers, avalanches, slides, difficulties, enemies that raid the sheep, chilling storms, and innumerable hazards.
  2. There is only one purpose of Pentecost; that is to effectively evangelize lost souls.
  3. Speaking in tongues is not enough. If we turn men from unchristian religions to Christianity we must produce miracles which convince men that Christ lives and He is real today.”
  4. You should never ask God to do what He has said He’s already done, and you should never ask God to do what He has told you to do.
  5. It is impossible to boldly claim by faith a blessing which we are not sure God offers, because the blessings of God can be claimed only where the will of God is known, trusted, and acted upon.
  6. How can we call ourselves a church and not believe in healing and in miracles? I cannot read four pages anywhere in the Bible without encountering miracles! And the God of the bible is the same today!
  7. One Way: Jesus! One Job: Evangelism!
  8. During His earthly ministry, Jesus was always moved with compassion and healed all them that had need of healing, and He is our faithful and merciful high priest today.
  9. Only the power of the Living Christ proclaimed in demonstration of the Holy Spirit, can meet the urgent needs of humanity.
  10. Christians need never be sick, any more than they need to be sinful. It is always God's desire to heal you.
  11. The gospel of the kingdom must be preached with evidence; it must be preached as a witness. This can only be done by Christians who are filled with the Holy Spirit.
  12. Satan is a killer; his diseases are the destroyers of life. His sicknesses are the thieves of happiness, health, money, time, and effort. Christ came to give us abundant life in our spirits and in our bodies.
  13. The purpose of a spirit filled life is to demonstrate the supernatural power of our living God so that the unsaved multitudes will abandon their dead gods to call upon the name of The Lord and be delivered.
  14. Wherever and whenever Jesus Christ is proclaimed as our sacrifice for sin and sickness, physical healing as well as spiritual salvation will result.
  15. New facts often trigger new ideas
  16. Both sin and sickness came into the world through the fall of the human race. Therefore, we must look for the healing of both in the savior of the human race. God is as willing to heal believers as He is to forgive unbelievers. Know this; if He was merciful enough to forgive you when you were unconverted, He is merciful enough to heal you now that you are in His family!
  17. Faith cannot be exercised when one is undecided as to whether or not God will heal all. If He will not heal all, then we are forced to consider in every case: "I wonder if God wills to heal this one? Or is this one of the unfortunate ones whom God wills to remain sick and to suffer?" How could we ever pray the prayer of faith with such uncertainty in our minds?
  18. Christ commissioned the twelve disciples to heal (Matt. 10:7-8). Later, He commissioned the seventy. His commission was given to all who believe (Mark 16:17-18). It was given to the church (James 5:14-16). These commissions have never been revoked.
  19. The message taught in the Gospels is one of complete healing for spirit and body, for all who will come to Him. Many today say, "I believe in healing, but I do not believe it is for everyone." If it is not for everyone, then how could we ever pray the prayer of faith?
  20. Of those who were bitten by the fiery serpents, the Bible says that as many as looked to the brazen serpent lived (Num. 21:9). Even now, as many as look to Christ as redeemer are saved -are healed.
