7 [WATCHMAN NEE] LESSONS ON CONSECRATION

  1. Consecration is more than. It is the action that follows love. One who has consecrated himself is separated from everything in this world – from all his former masters. Henceforth, he will do nothing but what his new Master commands.
  2. True sanctification is brought to the heart of God when we are really “wasting” ourselves upon Him (Matt. 26:7-8)

10 [WATCHMAN NEE] QUOTES ON HUMILITY

  1. Humility means a person will accept whatever the Lord gives him, for his expectations are not focused on himself. He is able to shout “hallelujah!” and offer thanks to the Lord concerning anything the Lord may be pleased to give.
  2. We humble ourselves before God in order that we may seek our lack and receive from His abundance of grace.

10 [WATCHMAN NEE] LESSONS ON FAITH

  1. What is faith? Faith is when you are brought to the place whereby you can claim from God that something has already been done even though it appears it has not.
  2. Faith is the substantiation of things hoped for (Heb. 11:1). This means making them real in experience. Substance is an object, I possess – something before me. Substantiating means that I have the power or faculty to make that substance be real to me.

15 [WATCHMAN NEE] LESSONS ON SALVATION

  1. Salvation as a personal and subjective experience rests on the Lord’s resurrection rather than His death. Though the death of Christ was necessary for atonement objectively before God, the New Testament lays emphasis on our faith in resurrection. It is through His resurrection that we have the proof of His death being accepted.
  2. Salvation is a matter of position. As long as a person is in Adam (walking according to the course of the world), he stands opposite to God, making him an enemy to God.
