THE GARMENT OR THE FAITH?


Let us consider Matthew 9:20-22:

And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

On one busy day Peter and some faithful followers thought that Jesus was either being unreasonable or maybe looking for an opportunity to teach from the library of His divine parables. In the midst of crowds Jesus asked who touched My clothes? (Mk. 5:30).

THRONGING OR TOUCHING?


As I read through the book of Mark today I came across one of the most powerful passages. A passage filled with faith, and I realized that that was the exact passage I used to preach my first faith sermon. It is about the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years.
