WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT?

Who would have ever thought that I would see this glorious day?

The day the LORD will take me from zero to hero

Take me from the gutters and make me a royal

Who would have ever thought?

Who would have ever thought I would see this glorious day?

Where the LORD will make me a little less than the angels

Where He will make me a king and a god, and place me above the universe

Who would have ever thought?

Who would have ever thought that I would see this glorious day?

That the LORD will bring to my realization

That who I am and what I have cometh from Him

That even the day I see cometh from Him

But how can I perceive this when I am encompassed by ungrateful ingrates

Who give his thanks to lifeless things

His praises to dead dogs

His worship to stupid images

Who would have ever thought?

Who would have ever thought that I would see this glorious day?

Where the LORD will stretch forth His hands to save me

To say to me “son, do not worry, for I am always with you”

To let me know that He is the Dominus of my life

The Author and Finisher of my faith

Who would have ever thought?
