1. Self-sufficiency
Our works of
faith would be rendered inactive and unfulfilling if we are sufficient in
ourselves. We must reckon that the Lord is the one working in our lives and He
is constantly involved in fashioning our every blessing. When we begin to see
our lives as complete, when we begin to see no need for prayer, fasting and
crying unto God, we become sufficient in ourselves which takes God out of the
equation. Our self-sufficiency robs God of His glory.

A faith that is active is one
that is fully pleasing to God. These show that your faith is active:
1. You don’t
worry about material things.
“Therefore take no thought, saying, what
shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?” – Matthew
6:31. Jesus taught the people that a worry for material things portrays
you as a Gentile. For they seek such things. Jesus taught them that God knows
what you need and would provide it for them as they seek Him and His kingdom.
